Family, Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry Serving Virginia Beach Since 1988
To our valued military families,
Our practice has proudly participated in the dependent’s dental care program and cared for the families of our active duty personnel since 1988. Through the years, the insurance plan has changed hands numerous times and each time the terms of participation have worsened. On May 1st, United Concordia Companies (UCCI) will take over the plan. Unfortunately, the terms and reimbursement rate of that contract will make it impossible for our office to participate and continue to provide the level of care and treatment that we demand for our patients, pay our bills and our staff the fair wage that they deserve. Therefore, as of May 1st, we will regretfully no longer be participating providers; however, we will continue to provide care to our valued military families as out-of-network providers. To help our military families that for decades we have cared for as well as new families, we would like to extend a discount to help them get the quality care they deserve. Please call us or email us at email@example.com.
Also, as a service to our many faithful active duty family patients, we will honor the hygiene appointments that have already been scheduled and we will accept UCCI’s payment for that appointment and gratis any difference. Also, for those who are currently scheduled for treatment- we will honor the previous carrier’s (Metlife) allowances that were in effect when the treatment was scheduled. You will, however, be responsible for the difference in Metlife’s and UCCI’s fees in addition to the estimated co-payment originally given. Our staff will gladly assist you in determining what your portion will be.
We strongly feel that the new plan is a disservice to the families of our military personnel and encourage all to contact their elected representatives to let them know.
